What is the difference between a top-up and a gift?

A ‘top-up’ refers to the funds gifted from your personal bank account into your Stewardship Giving Account. When a top-up is received, our fee is deducted and Gift Aid, if applicable, is added. A top-up can be made by Direct Debit, card payment or cheque.

A ‘gift’ refers to the transfer of funds from your Stewardship Giving Account to the Stewardship account of your chosen partner.

Essentially, a top-up is the money coming in to your Stewardship account and a gift is the money going out of your Stewardship account.
