Does being radically generous in the upside-down Kingdom require a bit of practicality?

We're excited to be partnering with Essential Christian as the giving platform for their Spring Harvest festival this Easter.

This world encourages us to keep all we can, but Jesus encourages us to give all we have. Radical generosity is part of life in the upside-down Kingdom, as we’ll be discovering afresh at Spring Harvest this year. Being wildly generous is wonderful, but we could all do with a little bit of help: some of us with motivation, some with practicalities, some with both!

We're delighted now to be partnering with Spring Harvest as their giving platform this year. We’re partnering with them to help them maximise the resources that God has given us through the generosity of his people: time, abilities and, of course, money.

We know that God calls us to live differently from those around us in order to give him glory, and that includes how we manage our finances. Not everyone will be able to give money, perhaps this year more than ever, but we’re excited to be working together to explore more of what radical generosity looks like in this season.

There’s a synergy between our ambitions – as Spring Harvest makes space for God to give inspiration and vision, we can provide the tools to resource that vision.

Spring Harvest 2022 in numbers

  • Over 600 people said that they’d chosen to actively follow Jesus

  • 12,000 hours of prayer were shared
  • 32,400 YouTube subscribers were spiritually equipped with fellowship and worship

What is the work of Essential Christian – home to Spring Harvest?

Essential Christian is a UK charity that is home to Spring Harvest, Essential Event Management, Song Solutions, Essential Christian Songs and Big Start Assemblies. They’re passionate about delivering excellent events and resources that equip the Church for all that God is calling them to be and do. They’re involved in worship, teaching, prayer, mission and fun – for all ages and all kinds of people. Their work also includes helping others to succeed in delivering their own ministries. They’re committed to helping more people discover the good news of Jesus Christ, however they can.

Spring Harvest, in particular, exists to make space for everyone to encounter God, to be inspired with confident faith and to see transformation by the power of Jesus in lives and communities. This year they’re delighted to have the opportunity for live content from the event in Minehead to be streamed into 75 prisons around the country!

What is the Everyone In Fund?

In 2022, Spring Harvest guests gave generously. They were able to set aside £60,000 to enable people to come to Spring Harvest in 2023. Over 600 are enabled to join them this year thanks to this generosity. They receive such encouraging thank you messages from beneficiaries.

Spring Harvest stories

Attending Spring Harvest can bless an individual or family in many ways. We were so inspired by the many testimonies and stories of miraculous recovery that Spring Harvest shared with us following their event last year. This one was shared by Kate’s mum.

“I must share with you what happened to my daughter, Kate, while we were at Spring Harvest this year [2022]. Kate has been hospitalised twice in the last two years with severe back problems, which have caused her chronic, severe pain for the last three years.

At Spring Harvest, we attended the evening service in Studio 36 each evening. On Tuesday after the service, Kate spent the evening with younger people but had to be returned to our chalet on a buggy by the security team as her pain was so severe that she was unable to walk back to the chalet.

At the Wednesday evening service people were invited to come to the front for individual prayers. Kate went and was prayed with by a wonderful prayer warrior. On her return to our seats, she looked at me in amazement and said, “Mum, my pain's gone.” Bearing in mind she has been taking opiate pain killers for three years interspersed with paracetamol, that is every two hours for the last three years she has been taking pain relief, I wasn't sure that the lack of pain was permanent. However, Kate is still pain free and has stopped all her pain medication. I can only say this is because the hand of God visited her on that Wednesday evening and took her pain away.

Jesus has answered our prayers and caused a miracle to happen.

Dear Lord,

I cannot express how grateful I am to you for taking Kate's pain away and for leading her to a local church in Redditch that is the right place for her. Thank you, Lord, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for sending such a worthy prayer warrior to help Kate. Thank you for leading us to Spring Harvest once again.

Amen.

If we hadn't come to Spring Harvest, Kate would not have been healed. Thank you, Spring Harvest, for facilitating the work of the Lord. We have placed a brick in the wall of prayers answered.”

How can you support Spring Harvest?

You can be part of the life-changing, community-transforming work of Spring Harvest.

They’re active all year round, locally and nationally, physically and digitally. And they’re best known for their brilliant Easter holidays, hosted at the fantastic Butlin's resorts. It takes a big investment to make these happen, so please be generous in your support. You can partner with them in this work by praying, by volunteering or with a financial contribution.
