Partner Account Fees
What do we do with your fees?
There is no direct cost to you as a Partner Account holder. To cover some of our costs, we deduct a small amount from the gift and Gift Aid we receive from supporters, which also helps us to develop and grow Christian generosity and the impact it has.
Our promises to you
-
No set-up fees for UK partners
-
No subscription fees
-
No donor tip requests
Where we incur additional costs, perhaps for processing unusual or exceptional transactions, we may deduct a further one-off charge to pay for this, but we will always discuss this with you before making any deduction from your Partner Account balance.

We’re transparent about our fees
Just like the churches, charities and full-time Christian workers we support, Stewardship is a not-for-profit too. So, when the administrative costs of services are covered, any surplus is reinvested into supporting charitable activities such as training, events and resources.
Many online giving platforms distinguish ‘platform’ fees from other fees like ‘payment processing’ or deductions from Gift Aid. Many platforms even ask donors to contribute more than the cost of service through a tip. At Stewardship, we like to be honest and upfront about the cost to your cause and your supporters.
Our fees depend on how a supporter makes a gift. For gifts with Gift Aid, we deduct 3.5%, or 3% where Gift Aid is not applied. Gift Aid is instantly claimed (where eligible) gifts of £25,000 and under, adding 25p to every £1 given without the partner having to claim, or wait for HMRC to process it. If a supporter gives from their Stewardship balance, 100% of the amount that they wish to give in support of your cause goes into your Partner Account.
This table illustrates how fees may apply on a £25 gift:

Due to the bespoke nature of our Philanthropy Services, fees on major donor giving vary, but range from 1-3%. For more information, see our Philanthropy Services fees.
Please note: Gifts paid by cheque (we accept a minimum £30 cheque gift) or from agencies (such as CAF, Charitable Giving and Charities trust) are subject to a minimum £5 fee to cover additional administrative costs.
International Partner Account fees
Stewardship partners with many international charitable causes which we have a bespoke international Partner Account for. Due to the extra due diligence and governance required by Stewardship’s regulators there are additional fees placed on international Partner Accounts.
If you’d like your grant payments made to an overseas bank account, an additional deduction of 1% will apply. This fee is applied at the point of the grant payment being made to you from your international Partner Account.
If your overseas charity is not yet registered with a Stewardship international Partner Account, the following one-off set-up fee will also be deducted. We’ll validate the charity to ensure that you’re eligible to receive funds.
