Story

FAMinternational supports vulnerable families & family based care throughout the world. The majority of our support goes toward supporting poverty stricken mothers in Madagascar who are in danger of relinquishing their children to institutions simply because they cannot afford to feed them. Our Malagasy arm www.famadagascar.org is helping the  Malagasy government to start a family based care system as an alternative to the overcrowded orphanages into which vulnerable children are currently placed.  Fam believes the best place for a child is in family & so we work to either re-unite children with their birth families or provide alternative (foster) families where we can’t. We currently support 30 families to keep their children by providing micro businesses, rent, training, start up costs & all the essentials they need. We want to support another 30 & need £100/month/family/ year. Could you help us raise £36000 to achieve this? On behalf of every family which we support, we thank you.
