There are more than 360 million persecuted Christians worldwide who suffer oppression and discrimination daily. That's 1 in every 7 believers globally. Some face violence and abduction, while others risk losing their jobs and livelihood. Fortunately, there are charities working on the frontlines to offer medical care, education, and daily essentials to these persecuted believers. Others advocate for the abolishment or revision of unjust laws affecting the lives of Christians.
According to the latest World Watch List from Open Doors, there are 13 countries where Christians face extreme persecution, and 37 more where they face general persecution. Persecution encompasses any hostility experienced due to one's identification with Christ, including restrictions, discrimination, violence, and more. [1]
