In 2022, Sanctuary Foundation helped shape the Homes for Ukraine Scheme by securing 29,000 hosting pledges and influencing a national response that enabled over 200,000 Ukrainians to find refuge in the UK.
As the only Christian charity working at senior government level, we helped ensure a warm welcome. Since then, we have advised the Home Office, FCDO and MHCLG, supported families affected by crises in Sudan, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon and Gaza, and enabled the first medical evacuation of Gazan children to the UK.
Our schools programme now reaches over 750,000 children each year, and our small team continues this work despite funding pressures. Your partnership helps us offer practical help and hope.
