Established in 1998 by a church that wanted to have a transformative impact on the local, high deprivation community, Liverpool Lighthouse has decades of experience meeting the complex needs of the most vulnerable, through practical support and arts for wellbeing programmes.
Our vision is to be a Creative Sanctuary for the local community and the city's artists through:
1. Using arts as a tool for wellbeing and social change.
2. Bringing arts and cultural experiences to the underserved local community.
3. Supporting artists from disadvantaged backgrounds develop artistic careers.
Our arts for wellbeing programmes have a particular focus on the following groups: asylum seekers and refugees, women in addiction, children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, people with mental health difficulties and people experiencing food poverty.
