Liverpool Lighthouse is an arts and community centre based in Anfield, North Liverpool. Established in 1998 by a church that wanted to have a transformative impact on the local, high deprivation community, Liverpool Lighthouse has decades of experience meeting the complex needs of the most vulnerable, through practical support and arts for wellbeing programmes.

We are also the base of the National Gospel Music Centre, an initiative dedicated to bringing gospel music to mainstream UK audiences. Our flagship event is the Liverpool Gospel Music Festival, an annual event held in North Liverpool that brings together local churches, gospel music lovers and the local community to celebrate the uplifting and transforming power of gospel music.

Our vision is to be a Creative Sanctuary for the local community and the city's artists through:

1. Using arts as a tool for wellbeing and social change.

2. Bringing arts and cultural experiences to the underserved local community.

3. Supporting artists from disadvantaged backgrounds develop artistic careers.

Our arts for wellbeing programmes include a particular focus on: asylum seekers and refugees, women in addiction, children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, people with mental health difficulties and people experiencing food poverty.

We work in areas of transformative, live-changing impact with some of the most vulnerable and excluded groups in society.
