Our quest is to support an initiative that can set a benchmark where no further outside help is needed. Because when change is sustainable, all of us win.
iThemba Projects do four things that research has shown will make the biggest long term developmental change in children:
- Giving children access to quality early childhood development (ECD), especially in the first 1000 days of life
- Giving children loving adult role models (a surrogate parent).
- Giving children a sustainable source of quality nutrition, so they can learn and develop
- Achieving this through empowering community members to be the change makers, and reaching the tipping point of 65% of children.
