Beloved

Beloved exists to reach women in Bristol's indoor sex industry; offering love and support: practically, emotionally and spiritually through our outreach to the massage parlours and brothels in the city.

Many of these women voice feeling isolated and of little worth, our heart is to share God's love and hope for them in action, word and prayer.

We seek to build relationship and offer 1:1 caseworking, wellbeing activities, hardship funds and counselling. We understand there are multiple barriers so we support holistically and for the long journey. Beloved are supported by volunteers from local churches who work alongside a staff team and partner with organisations supporting vulnerable and trafficked women.

Gopsel: Residential trips to Christian conferences offer a wonderful opportunity for women to encounter Jesus in a setting of worship, fellowship and biblical truth. This is often the point when they go on to connect with a church community and continue on a journey of discipleship.

Exit: Sourcing pathways to alternative work and housing is a major element of Beloved's support, so we work closely with agencies in the city to signpost and refer.

Comfort: The outreach we provide includes taking gifts donated by local churches: toiletries, Christian literature as well as safety information. Christmas is a hard time of the year for women who feel lonely and forgotten so we make an extra effort.
