Upbeat Communities - helping strangers become neighbours Upbeat is a charity which exists to help vulnerable refugees and migrants settle and begin to thrive in a new community. We educate and mobilise the settled community to welcome and support people to rebuild their lives. We have a vision to see community built between people of different cultures, with everyone able to grow and make a contribution. Our work involves three key areas: Welcome – Orientation and building community Empowerment – Skills training and support Education – Build understanding in the wider community
