People against Poverty is an independent charity whose intention is to alleviate poverty and suffering around the world. We channel our resources into projects that directly support children and their communities, changing lives through meeting basic needs: food, housing, education. shelter, medical care and legal status. Each project is managed using local expertise working alongside our small team here in the U.K.
Our U.K. Dignity project was set up in 2020 to provide essential white goods to low income families in the Trowbridge / Melksham area. A fridge freezer allows a family to store fresh food and enjoy a varied diet. A washing machine enables children go to school in clean unform. A new, reliable and fuel efficient cooker improves safety and helps keep bills manageable.
