MHA was founded in 1943 by Rev.Walter Hall and a group of Methodists whose aim was to improve older people’s quality of life before the introduction of the welfare state

 Decades later, we continue to enable older people to live later life well by remaining true to our Methodist roots.

 We make this possible by ensuring each donation goes towards nurturing the mind, body, and soul through offering life-enhancing services like music therapy, chaplaincy, and a variety of dementia products. Whether its making communication possible through music therapy, providing words of comfort or even a HUG in times of need, these invaluable resources showcase how enriching later life can be.

 Our commitment to the Methodist faith remains a vital part of our mission, we believe that later life is something to be enjoyed as well as celebrated and through every gift we receive, we can make this a reality for many older people living in the UK.
