St George's Church Fatfield’s Community rooms and cafe project (Phase 2)

Story

Our community has very few amenities. With the closure of the Harraton Annex there is a real need for better community facilities.

The vision we have is to provide a new community facility enabling much more to take place locally. Our new website - the history and future of St George's church - gives more details about this vision and the ways in which we hope to serve the community. At the heart of the vision is to use the building more widely.

We are creating a new community space and community cafe along with facilities open to all and to better enable us to meet local needs through the many ways we bring life and hope to many people. For example, during lockdown we provided over 1400 lunches to young people and we have delivered over 1000 lunches to elderly and vulnerable people.

We have received many generous gifts and several substantial grants, and now, thanks be to God, we just need the last £10-15,000 for equipment plus funding for PV panels/batteries so please give generously.
