Closing date: 04 June 2024
Story
Thank you to everyone who enabled me to exceed the fund raising challenge. Your contributions will help make a difference in the sholls of Milton Keynes
I, along with my late wife Barbara, was part of the team who in 1988 had a vision for a schools worker for Milton Keynes that led to the foundation of the Bridgebuilder Trust. Bridgebuilder have been actively working in schools since 1993 delivering assemblies, RE lessons, Moving On Up Secondary Education (MOUSE) and special sessions themes looking at issues like bullying. anger, relationships from a Christian perpespective.
Sadly, Barbara died in August 2022 and in her memory, I completed a Polar Penguin Antarctic Cold Water Swimming Challenge reaching the monthly 3000m target on 8th March and amassing a total of 27260m for the 5 months despite illness, frozen lakes and unswimmable rivers and water temperatures as low as 2.6C. All swims were in open water or unheated lidos.
