Story

Dennis Tailor is marking his 30th year of fundraising by attempting 7 marathons in 7 consecutive days around the villages of north Bedfordshire. He hopes to raise £10,000 and 2/3 of that will come to Friends of CME Trust; 1/3 to another UK charity: Rett UK, which supports children with a rare genetic neurological disability. Rett UK is the only charity that provides this kind of support.

Friends of CME Trust will use the 2/3 to help support another year of the orphan programme near Oicha which will pay for their school fees, school text books, a daily meal with their host families; and trauma counselling to help heal the wounds of losing parents.

It is impossible to judge what the impact will be on the lives of these orphans but they would be incredibly vulnerable if not in school to trafficking, joining the militia groups or begging on streets.
