Dave Worrall, Stewardship Officer at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Shoreham Beach, West Sussex is planning a fundraising event by walking round the parish boundary thirty times in April and early May. Dave, 75, will clock up almost 300 miles (over 11 Marathons) in the period between Easter Monday (1st April) and Rogation Sunday (5th May).
The funds that Dave raises will go towards repairing and waterproofing the eastern wall of the Church of the Good Shepherd and its “Calvary” War Memorial, replacing fragile mullion windows in the church and updating the very old sound system so that worship will be enhanced. Over £30,000 is required for these projects.
