Help restore Linlithgow's stunning architectural symbol!
The Crown of Thorns spire of St Michael's Parish Church has become the modern built symbol of our town since its installation in 1964. But decades of Scottish weather have taken their toll: both the aluminium cladding and sections of the timber structure now need to be replaced with modern, long-life materials.
Let's aspire to remake history by safeguarding this iconic Linlithgow structure for future generations to enjoy. Although the overall cost has risen again, to £395k (+ VAT, which we will seek to recover) we’re delighted to have been offered a grant that will cover £90k of the increase and now the work will be carried out from June-October 2023. We are very grateful for the donations and grant funding that makes up the total raised so far; can you help us close the final funding gap?
Donating with Stewardship is easy and secure. If you are a UK taxpayer, please Gift Aid your donation. This will add 25p to every £1 you give.
