Story
Let’s rebuild our church into a co-living project! Bonny Downs Abbey will be an intentional community of 8 studio flats for vulnerable adults who have experienced homelessness & 2 ministry flats. Our ministers Jonny, Dave & Sally are ready to move in! A communal lounge, kitchen & roof garden enable residents & neighbours to share life & flourish. Beneath is a hall & facilities shared by worship gatherings & www.newwayproject.
We have planning permission
Our partners J49 will fund & manage the studio flats & NEWway provides wrap-around care & support.
We hope to cover our funding gap of £500,000 with grant applications & loans. This fund is for 10% of the gap - a tithe of donations from those giving to see this vision become reality.
If we surpass our target, excess funds will replace building loans. If we not raise sufficient funds to undertake the build, funds will go into our charity’s general funds.
