Aspire Linlithgow: Project 600
St Michael’s Parish Church, Linlithgow
Closing date: 09 February 2026
Story
Help secure the future of St Michael’s Parish Church, Linlithgow – widely considered one of the most beautiful churches in Scotland - for the 21st century.
Why 600? Work started on the present church building after a fire in 1424 ravaged the previous structure. In 2024, it’s not fire but water that threatens the integrity of the building. We’re planning major guttering and drainage solutions to stop further rainwater penetration, followed by putting right existing water damage to the stonework. We aim to raise £100k from generous donors, which will help us leverage grant funding for the balance of the £600k+ required.
Should we not raise sufficient funds to secure additional grants, funds will be used towards the general funds of the church. Should this fundraiser exceed its target, excess funds will be used towards the general funds of the church.
Aspire Linlithgow is the major projects fundraising campaign of St Michael’s Parish Church, Linlithgow (Scottish charity no SC016185).
