Samuel's Hope 2023
Raising funds to give Year 3 students across Monmouthshire a Christian devotional book, in memory of Samuel Barker. [Funds go to our church, who pay for the books]

Story
When our 7-year old son Samuel died, we wanted to support his school friends in their grief, so we raised money to buy a Christian devotional book to give to each of his classmates (Year 3).
Samuel was friendly, full of energy, loved nature and thinking about the God who made it. He wanted his friends to know about Jesus, so sharing the book ‘Indescribable’ by L. Giglio was a way of continuing Samuel's ‘work’.
The book is bright, colourful, fun and interesting. Children love to read the fun facts about nature and learn about God’s care for his creation - and his love for us all.
Samuel was excited to go to heaven one day and looked forward to meeting Jesus. It is our prayer that through giving out these books we could share Samuel’s Hope with other children.
After giving the books to Samuel's classmates, we approached other schools. We're delighted that this year over 400 pupils will receive books!
