I am Graham Swinerd, a 72 year old retired academic from Southampton.

What am I doing and why? There are 5 'Basics Banks' run by SCM distributed across Southampton City, one open each day of the week. I volunteer at one of these venues, and have done so since it opened in 2012 . In recent weeks, food bank usage has rocketed, with each bank feeding well over 100 people each day. To help the service continue over the winter months I want to raise funds!  So in March I intend to walk 100 miles - for me that's over 220,000 steps. I enjoy walking, but 5 times 5 miles each week is a bit of a challenge! I have no expectation that I will achieve my fundraising target, but that is the scale of the problem! Please give generously :-).
