Bishop John’s Lent Appeal for this year will raise money for our partner diocese of Morogoro in Tanzania.
Like many places, the Diocese of Morogoro has been impacted by Covid-19 and in addition the area has suffered from drought and flood which has devastated harvests. Despite all this, Christian hope is alive and well and in recent months, Bishop Godfrey has planted churches to create a number of new parishes. Many of these are in areas where there is currently very little Christian witness, and it is a real struggle for clergy there to build new congregations. This lent gift will support these mission priests in these challenging parishes.
Funds will be collected by the Worcester Diocesan Board of Finance to pass on to our partner Diocese of Morogoro
