Frazer & Finley’s Nuts Challenge
For Hope House Haiti
Closing date: 01 August 2021
Story
On 31 August, we will be running 7km through mud and over assault courses, climbing, crawling and collapsing (www.thenutschallenge.co.uk) for Hope House Haiti.
On January 12, 2010 Haiti suffered a devastating earthquake; many people died, and many were left homeless. Although things are slowly improving Haiti continues to be one of the poorest countries in the world.
Yvrose and Pierre Richard are an amazing Haitian couple who have taken in around 36 children who didn't have family able to look after them (from young babies to teenagers,) and have established a school in their remote region of Haiti, aimed at the poorest children in the community, offering a free education and a meal for each child - often the only meal the children gets that day. It has around 1000 children in it. They also have a farm, and have started a church, and run adult literacy classes amongst many other things to support their community. Thanks so much for your support for Hope House Haiti, and their work!
