Story

Having followed a career path to try to understand the issues surrounding housing, homelessness and temporary accommodation, I'd like to be more proactive in making a difference. So here's my attempt...

In October 2024 and April 2025, I'll be running the Manchester half & full marathon to raise money for Embassy.

Embassy is a Manchester based charity that is creating a 40 home village to provide accomodation to those who are experiencing homelessness. Residents will gain live practice experience of managing their own home in a supported environment, with close guidance from a skilled resettlement team.

I would love to reach a funding target equal to the cost of 1 home (£58,000), but will first work towards covering one home's yearly running costs (£2,000). My hope is to keep the page open, and consider future fundraising events.
