DreamRider Anisa
Ultra bikepacking, Self-supported, as Education is the Key to the Future
Closing date: 25 July 2024
Story
Follow my challenges. I've just completed #Gbduro20 (LEJOG plus), and 2018 I raced my bike across and down Europe back to back in races lasting ~ 6 wks. First 7350Km in NCTA (NorthCape-Tarifa) from the most Northern point of Norway to the Southern tip of Spain. Shortly followed by Belgium to Greece in Transcontinental No.6.
I ride gruelling self supported bicycle races, riding up to 18 hours a day, stopping only to eat and sleep beside the road along the way. It’s a very challenging, scary and exciting ride!
It isn’t a race for personal glory; the goal is to directly impact the lives of young Malawians, through education so Malawians are empowered to help themselves, their villages and their country.
My goal is to support 20 disadvantaged youths to attend secondary school for 4 years. By 2018 DreamRiders has 37 Malawians sponsored in Secondary School, with more added each September.
