Judy's fundraiser for secondary education costs for orphans at CED, Butembo, DRC

Welcome!  Once again, I'm fundraising to provide secondary education for 14 older orphans living at CED, Butembo, where they are lovingly cared for by Mama Mbambu and her team. Last school year all the children passed their exams and so moved up a class in September! Each extra year of education enhances a child’s life chances and future well-being, improving health and livelihoods, and reducing poverty. The Diocese of North Kivu oversees the work, CCA's long-term partner. All Secondary Schools have a particular specialisation, and Mama Mbambu ensures the children attend schools matching their interests and aptitude. The cost for each child ranges from £159 - £226 pa, depending on their year group, and covers fees, uniform, stationery, and practical placements.
