London Marathon 2022
Closing date: 06 December 2022
Story
I am not a natural runner so you may ask why I am mad enough to take on the challenge of running the London marathon on 2nd October. I am inspired to run (walk, crawl, etc) to raise money for a small charity called Brickworks. This is a charity that supports development work in South Sudan and also, because of the severe civil unrest in that country, to help South Sudanese refugees living in Uganda.
The money I raise will help them with their project to support four under-tree schools in Uganda. As the name implies, these are primary schools for 4000 primary age children that are held under trees in the refugee camps because there are no buildings.
Brickworks does not employ a fundraiser and has no paid staff. Every penny you give will go to South Sudan. If you are a UK taxpayer, please confirm that you would like to reclaim Gift Aid on your donation. This will add 25p to every £1 you give. Thanks for visiting!
