Alex Starling's Sea Swim for CYE

Story

Hi - Alex Starling here. On Sunday morning I swam just under 1,500 metres from Bosham to the CYE Sailing Centre in beautiful conditions (sunny and calm)... albeit the water was not warm and I didn't wear a wetsuit!!

I first went to CYE when I was about 10 years old, which started a long-term relationship with the establishment that our family has supported ever since - the charity has been "Transforming lives through outdoor activities in Chichester harbour since 1985": https://cye.org.uk/about-us/history/.

I have seen this work first-hand over several decades now, and I continue to be impressed. Thousands of children have been given life-affirming experiences since CYE was established, and many of these youngsters have come back to develop their sailing, outdoor and leadership skills at CYE. This particular fundraiser is to collect funds for their new safety boat, but all of the charity's work is of the highest quality.
