Chief Technology Officer

Stewardship has been helping the UK Christian community to give and to receive since 1906. Our modern society often tells us that we need more; that we need to aspire to live the life of the rich and famous and that only by doing this will we be truly happy. This illusion is one that is built on a worldview of individualism, envy and, ironically, scarcity. From that emerges a pervasive cultural narrative that implies that we are losing some of what is ours when we give to others.

For more than a century, our experience tells a different story. We’ve witnessed the power of bible-centric generosity to transform lives and communities and bring deep joy and blessing to the giver and receiver alike. Our desire is to build a movement of generosity amongst God’s people and be a broker of blessing, uniting giver and recipient in relationship together and to his glory.

Our growth ambition, approved by our trustees earlier this year, is to increase the flow of funds to churches and Christian charities from £72 million a year (based on FY 2017-18) to beyond £250 million a year by 2025, and to extend the joy of generosity to new generations. In the last 12 months we have grown our giving by around 70% (approx. £130 million), launched a major new suite of products, and have purchased a bank in partnership with a group of Christian philanthropists.

We are a technologically enabled, business minded but mission driven charity, helping over 30,000 generous Christians give over £100 million each year to a vast range of amazing churches, Christian charities and individuals in full time Christian ministry. But we’re ambitious for more and harnessing technology is key to delivering this transformation at scale.

To that end, we are creating the role of Chief Technology Officer to join our leadership team and drive innovation and growth through technology. Working within a dynamic and passionate team, supported by exceptional function heads, and backed by the support of the Board and resources needed, this role will accelerate our technology and product delivery capability to achieve our goals.

Business Systems Analyst

Do you want to be part of a team delivering new system capabilities while serving God’s kingdom and helping others to do the same? Do you enjoy problem solving and have an eye for detail?

Do you have experience of working with business users on solving business problems and translating that into system needs, working in an Agile development environment as well as writing specifications for new software and testing that software for bugs and usability?

During an exciting time of change and growth, you could help Stewardship move forward with products and support the staff using those products by delivering a logical, reasoned, effective service.

Salary: Up to £30,000 (+ benefits), depending on experience.

Giving Services Customer Support (Maternity Cover)

 Do you have a passion for serving and helping customers? Do you have excellent communication skills, a desire to provide excellent customer service and have a flair for administration?

As Giving Services Customer Support (Maternity Cover), you will help manage over 45,000 giver and recipient accounts, support givers with their charitable giving arrangements, and offer guidance to givers and recipients about Stewardship’s online services.

Salary: from £22,500 per annum + generous benefits (approximately 14 month contract)

Business Process Analyst

Are you naturally analytical and have a knack for problem solving? Are you creative, not willing to settle for the status quo but willing to shake things up in order to get a better outcome? Do you have a natural gift for putting others at ease when implementing change? Then this role may be the right fit for you!

During an exciting time of change and growth, you will be a key player in creating new or altering existing processes. This role will be under the programme and process lead, working closely with other departments in order to evaluate practices, define solutions, manage implementation and monitor deliverables. You will need strong organisational skills, be able to exhibit initiative and have prior experience in process improvement and working within a process methodology.

Salary: £28,000-£33,000 (+ benefits), depending on experience. Two year contract.
