Story

The Wonderful Foundation supports church plants in rural, economically deprived communities.

We are looking to offer further support to pastors in rural regions of Sri Lanka and India through micro grants and community programme support. These pastors are working with some of the poorest and marginalised peoples in their communities.

Pastor Guna in Sri Lanka is running a rice production programme. Previous support enabled the purchase of seed for 8 acres of fields, the equipment needed and training.

Pastor Devan in India is working with the ragpicker community, who reside alongside rubbish tips, delivering basic food provision, education and economic empowerment programmes. 

There are expansive opportunities to make a significant contribution to both projects. The initial fundraising target will help us provide rice seeds, and other materials to see an initial harvest next year in Sri Lanka, education materials for India, and for the pastors to continue with basic food programmes.
