Story

Church planting and supporting churches in economically and socially deprived communities is at the heart of the Wonderful Foundation. 

Founders Dan and Claire Maudhub planted a church around their kitchen table in September 2022, with a heart to see the unchurched and marginalised find a safe place of community, friendship and discovery of faith. 

The church plant has since moved from the kitchen into a small school. Immediately, three families of staff members joined, who weren’t yet of faith. It has been an incredible few months of seeing God work, and people on the edge of faith join in, pray, discover God’s word and each week new people are joining the church. 

The church recently fundraised to give gifts to those in need in the community. Each person gave as they could, and nearly £700 was raised from this small church! One person who visited for the first time said he felt overwhelmed when he arrived, his comment was “so this is what family feels like” followed by “it’s wonderful”.
