Christian Aid Week 2026

Giving to the one who asks

How you can get involved in Christian Aid Week 2026

Christian Aid is blessed with supporters who give sacrificially. One such supporter is Chris.

Chris has been giving to Christian Aid’s work since the 1990s, supporting its flagship appeal, Christian Aid Week, and its responses to global emergencies.

Then last year, we got a call. Chris had been praying and he really wanted to do something to make a difference. He offered to give Christian Aid £100,000 to run an appeal that other people could also give to – a matched funding appeal.

‘Give to the one who asks of you, and do not refuse anyone who wants to borrow from you.’ Matthew 5:42

The appeal, which was focused on the work of Christian Aid and its partners in the Middle East, ended up raising over £250,000 on top of the £100,000 that Chris originally gave.

The appeal inspired people who had not given to Christian Aid’s work for a while to start giving again, and people who hadn’t previously supported emergency work decided to make an additional gift for this appeal.

Since October 2024, 1.2 million people have been reached with the vital work of Christian Aid’s partners in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon.

‘Our partners are deeply rooted in their communities and have therefore been the first responders to this crisis. Our locally-led approach has meant that people have been supported to help themselves, in the absence of a ceasefire and sufficient aid.’ - Katie Roxburgh, Programme Manager – Israel and occupied Palestinian territory, Christian Aid.

Christian Aid Week 2026

This week is Christian Aid Week (10 – 16 May). Your support could help mothers in Nairobi, Kenya, facing the devastating reality of urban poverty and the daily struggle to feed their children.

You can support us through 'Give, Act and Pray' on the Stewardship Fundraiser

Generosity is at the heart of our faith. You can help communities facing hunger and hardship grow food, build resilience and create lasting change.
