The book of Acts shows a church willing to take risks as it embarks on the adventure that God put before it. For some modern day churches and other Christian charities, risk and the fear of its consequences means hiding away. Managing risk can be liberating and the risk assessment toolkit, which can be used by both churches and charities, provides a comprehensive framework for trustees to consider and assess those risks typically faced by churches and Christian charities and to prioritise actions designed to mitigate or manage those risks.
