World Without Orphans Europe is a Christian-led movement that works across Europe. We empower local leaders to solve the crisis of vulnerable children and families in their own country. Through our partners, we strengthen families so that they can stay together, we enable children to return to birth families when this is safe, and for others we find a new family through fostering or adoption.

One such story is Eric's story from Romania:
Eric came into the world facing severe challenges: hydrocephalus, cerebral palsy, and blindness. Abandoned shortly after birth, his chances of survival were slim. Not expecting him to live long, someone made a call to Romania Without Orphans (ARFO). Volunteers from ARFO visited Eric, offering to hold his hand in hospital. But to everyone’s surprise, Eric began to improve.
One of the visiting families decided to adopt him. It was not an easy road, with Eric undergoing dozens of surgeries and having no chance of ever walking. Nonetheless, their act of love sparked a chain reaction, inspiring other families in the area to adopt disabled and abandoned children.

Since launching in Ukraine in 2010 and Romania in 2012, thousands of children have been welcomed into families. WWO Europe has partners in 20 European countries. You can give to support our ongoing work for orphans across Europe.
