HOPE GIVES US AN EXPECTANCY FOR THE FUTURE;
OUR DREAMS , AMBITIONS AND ASPIRATIONS.
HOPE DRIVES US ON TO TRY AND ACCOMPLISH THINGS

Hope Church, believes in what the bible teaches.

We realise that the Living God has plans to give us a Hope and a Future in Him and understand that what God has promised, will happen, when we trust in Him

Standing on the word of God - we believe that;

  • There is one God - He is the creator of Heaven, Earth and All living things. He exists in 3 equal persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, 2 Corinthians 13:14)
  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who was born of a virgin, led a sinless life and died on the cross as a sacrifice for sinners like you and me!
  • The Bible is God's word to us and we try to live according to that word. We believe it is the inspired and living word of God and is very relevant for todays world! (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
  • Salvation is entirely by Grace through faith in Christ Jesus; not by works, so that no one can boast. (Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:8-9)
  • The world needs a Saviour and ALL who commit their lives to Jesus, accepting Him as Saviour and Lord, will receive forgiveness of their sins and the power of the Holy Spirit to help them live their life for God.
  • All of mankind: You and Me have sinned, and all have fallen short of God's perfect standards.
  • Jesus Christ was raised from the dead and ascended into Heaven and will one day return to take all those who have trusted in Him to Heaven for Eternity. (John 1:1-14. Acts 1:9-10, Romans 8:34, Colossians 2:9, 1 Peter 1:3-5, 2 Timothy 4:1)
  • God the Holy spirit lives within those who trust Christ as their Saviour. The Holy Spirit convicts sinners brings assurance of Salvation, promotes Christ-likeness, builds up the church and empowers its members for worship, service and mission. (2 Corinthians 3:6, John 16:8-11)
  • The Church is not a building yet a body of born-again Christians whom Jesus Christ is the head of the Church.
  • The Church meet to worship, pray, study the bible and for the Breaking of Bread (communion) - to remember what He did for us on the Cross. (Ephesians 5:22-27, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Colossians 1:18).
