Lebanese Society for Educational and Social Development

Founded in 1998, LSESD, now known as Thimar, aims to strengthen the witness of the Church in Lebanon and the region through
1) Equipping the Church (Ephesians 4:12-13). Nurturing and training faithful women & men and developing context-relevant Christian resources.
2) Serving Society (Isaiah 1:17) as a practical reflection of our love for God through our love for our neighbor; addressing issues of poverty and vulnerability mainly through: i) Emergency relief and development; and ii) Inclusive education.

Thimar-LSESD's approach is a holistic integrated one that reflects the full meaning of the Gospel as Word & deed, and is made possible through our family of ministries, each with its distinctive focus, be it leadership and/or resource development, emergency relief, community development, inclusive education, psychosocial support… with the Good News of the Gospel integrated in every aspect of who we are & what we do.
