Providing school meals during conflict
For over 20 years, Mary's Meals has worked in areas of conflict and crisis, reaching children others cannot.Today we serve some of the most vulnerable children in Yemen, Lebanon, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Haiti, where conflict and instability are pushing families to the brink. For many children, a daily school meal is a lifeline , often the only reliable food they will eat that day.
Thanks to generous supporters, from Monday 8th June every gift will be DOUBLED until the match pot is met, providing twice the impact for children facing hunger.
Donate today using our MATCH FUND - Feeding Children During Conflict project or use this as a reference.
In fragile and post-conflict communities, a daily meal at school can be life-changing.School meals reduce hunger and malnutrition, helping children concentrate and learn. They encourage attendance, particularly among children at risk of dropping out, while providing a vital safety net for families. They also support recovery by keeping education going and helping communities rebuild.
The simple intervention of a meal creates stability and hope in places where children's lives are often defined by uncertainty. It provides a reason for children to attend school each day and gives families reassurance during times of crisis

More than half a million children rely on Mary's Meals every school day in Yemen, Lebanon, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Haiti.
Our low overheads mean that just 19.15 can provide a child with daily school meals for a whole school year and your support can help sustain school feeding programmes during times of crisis and reach more children waiting for our meals.
Thanks to generous matched funding, every donation made though your Stewardship account will be doubled, meaning your gift can go twice as far and help twice as many children facing uncertainty and fear.
Please join us in helping children affected by conflict receive a daily school meal by donating using the project reference MATCH FUNDED Feeding Children During Conflict.
Thank you!
