Emelia Smith - Youth & Children's Work, Yeovil

Over the year I will study level 3 Engaging with applied Theology through Moorlands college as well as a full time voluntary practical ministry placement through SWYM based at Yeovil Community Church, doing a mixture of children, youth and media work. I will be planning, leading and resourcing youth and children's groups, facilitating schools work, scripting, filming and editing videos for the church and mentoring a young person for the year. I will also be helping create annual family events, take the young people to SPRE (a Christian weekend festival), volunteer at New Wine festival and help lead a number of sleepovers at the church and away, additionally partaking in a mission trip to France or Spain.
