Thirty years since the first democratic elections, life for many in KwaZulu-Natal remains tough. The 2021 riots and COVID hit hard. Few have a job to bring in much-needed cash for essentials. With high levels of crime, and basic services often not available, there is disillushionment. Climate change brings unseasonal and extreme weather events. And yet, there are signs of hope – of light in an apparent darkness. ACAT continues to develop the resilience of its members, developing knowledge and skills, and supporting livelihoods, that sustain households and help protect against domestic violence, child abuse, and diseases such as HIV, whilst sharing its Christian hope.
Acting as an instrument in God's Hand, ACAT seeks transformation from spiritual, mental and physical poverty into a sustainable lifestyle which is God-centred and people orientated. Join us in supporting this!
