Recreation
Our aim is to actively change lives through the power of cricket across the community.
We use the game to deliver accessible and enjoyable opportunities that grow the sport, tackle inequalities, improve health and wellbeing and enable people to fulfil their potential.
Sporting Memories is one such project. Clubs across Sussex provide a unique and inclusive space for individuals aged 50+ to come together and reminisce about their experiences with sports. These weekly clubs offer a friendly and welcoming environment, attracting a diverse group of participants. Whether attendees are avid sports fans or individuals facing health challenges such as dementia, memory problems, depression, strokes, or Parkinson's, they all share a common bond—a love for sports.
Run by trained volunteers these clubs are designed to stimulate conversation and discussion. The sessions are not only a source of joy and laughter but also serve as a platform for the formation of new friendships.
