His Place

His Place Our building is used by many community groups including ours. We run a cafe & community centre, mental wellbeing activities, music and events under the Henry Ward Hall name and community church. We have secured the seafront side of building with help from Hertage Lottery Fund in 2023 and now the other side of the building stone work, windows and roof need to be repaired to secure the long term future of our community work and community events and education activities. We inherited a huge backlog of major repairs, as indicated by Heritage At Risk register. Condition ranking of ‘Poor’ at priority level A: ‘Immediate risk of further rapid deterioration or loss of fabric. Our aim is to be open 7 days a week
