His Place

Our vision is for His Place to remain a thriving, welcoming community hub at the heart of Hastings, where everyone has a place to belong. We want to preserve our historic building while creating a sustainable future for the people and communities we serve. Through His Place Community Church, The Cafe / community centre and Henry Ward Hall, we will continue bringing people together through faith, friendship, affordable food, music, culture, support and shared experiences. We aim to provide opportunities to connect, learn, volunteer, recover, create and flourish. We want to be a centre where people of all ages have opportunities from social to educational, with the long-term goal of employing paid staff and training the next generation.

His Place creates a welcoming place where everyone can belong, connect and find hope. At the heart of Hastings, we bring people together through faith, friendship, affordable food, music, culture, community activities and practical support. Through His Place Community Church, The Caf @ His Place and Henry Ward Hall, we provide spaces where people can meet, build relationships, enjoy activities and access support. We support people experiencing loneliness, isolation, hardship or life challenges, while creating opportunities for volunteering, learning, creativity and community. His Place is more than a building it is a place to belong.
