Esther Boulton - Children's Work & Training Development, Uganda

My heart has always been to see children with disabilities have the same opportunities as their peers to thrive in their communities. In Uganda this is still not the case. I am a specialist teacher who trains teachers how to teach children with special educational needs and disabilities with Ekisa Ministries in Uganda. I also work on developing the curriculum. It is our goal at Ekisa Academy to improve educational opportunities and work with families to reduce the sitgma surrounding disability in Uganda. My role is self-funded and I need to raise at least £12,000 a year to do this. Any extra I raise goes directly to Ekisa Ministries.
