The Parish of Penrith was formed in 2019 by combining the two Penrith parishes of St Andrew's and Christ Church. We have two distinctive churches , both listed buildings. St Andrew's Church in the centre of the town was reordered in the Georgian style in 1722 and so in 2022 we will celebrate the church in its present form being 300 years old. The smaller Christ Church, built in 1850 is situated at the North end of the town. We have a range of services in both churches throughout the week (see website for more details) and various children's activities arranged by our Children and Family Worker. Our aim is for our churches to have a vital role in the life of the community -various organisations, schools, local charities and others from further afield use our churches to hold concerts and other events. We are an active member of Churches Together in Penrith and hold joint events with the other town churches throughout the year.
