Working Families

Working Families wants to achieve a society in which everyone can meet their work and caring responsibilities.

We provide advice to low income families and families with disabled children to help them stay in work, remain off entire reliance on benefits and, most importantly, stay out of poverty. Our expert advice services help both low income families and families with disabled dependents stay out of poverty by helping them to positively negotiate with their employers and keep their jobs. It is only service of its kind in the UK which offers specialist advice on paternal discrimination – sadly, an all too common trend in this difficult financial climate, most acutely for unskilled low paid workers. Each year we help 5,000 mothers and fathers give their children better life chances.
