Lifecentre is a small Christian charity making a big difference in the heart of Salford. We work alongside the local community on our shared aim of community transformation, with a particular focus on children and young people.

Over 50% of children in our area are growing up in families in poverty. We want to break down the barriers for these children and young people and see everyone in our community reach their potential.

All of our work relies on the donations of individuals and churches to keep going, we would love you to join us as a regular supporter. Just sign up on Stewardship and you will receive our regular newsletter to keep you updated on all our work and the huge impact your money is making in Salford.

For children we have a Nurture Breakfast Group every term time morning to help children referred to us have a better start to their school day. We have holiday clubs across Salford to challenge holiday hunger. We are passionate about improving the experience of our young people when they arrive at High School. We deliver lessons and afternoon teas for parents to get ready for Year 7, and we are working with the University of Manchester to create a quality mark for High Schools. We have a Paired Up Reading project to link the generations together to support children's reading and reduce isolation for older adults, and our Jesus and Me after school clubs for children wanting to know more about the Christian faith.

For young people we have a weekly Youff club where young people are given the opportunity to build friendships, have fun, try new experiences and activities across the city and be themselves. Our young people have the opportunity in two locations across the city to join our Salford Scorpions cadets sessions, learning to play flag football with the opportunity to join a competitive team.

For adults we have a women's only running space for beginners to advanced called We Run Salford. This is a safe space for women to get fit, make friends and build community.

We also have our flag American Football team The Salford Scorpions who offer weekly free training sessions to men and women, with two competitive teams playing in the national league. You can check them out on their socials @salfordscorpions on facebook, instagram and twitter.
