Every 15 minutes, a child in the UK enters the care system.

Through Safe Families' latest joint campaign with Home for Good, we ask 'Who Cares?'

Who cares that there are families overwhelmed by challenges such as poor mental health, family trauma and isolation? Without support, these situations worsen, more families will reach crisis point and more children will enter care.

Everyone deserves a place to belong. That is why Safe Families offers support, hope and belonging to improve the lives of those in our communities. We link children, young people and families with local, church-based volunteers who can offer them help and support.

You could make a huge difference by investing in families so that they can find belonging.

£25 could help us to resource a church with 'The Belonging Course'

£50 could help five families find hope and connection

£100 could help us attend an event through which we can recruit more volunteers

Fola's story

Pregnant and alone, Fola fled her home country, escaping abuse and a threat to her life. Arriving in the UK, she found herself in temporary accommodation - a tiny, one-room flat - her confidence and spirit shattered.

Safe Families gradually built trust with Fola. We connected her with Holly, a 'Family Friend' eager to support her. Together, they began preparing Fola for motherhood. Despite initially lacking confidence, Fola wanted to visit Holly's church.

When Esther was born, Holly and the Safe Families team ensured Fola had everything she needed and a group from church even organised a meal rota.

Right now, families like Fola's are in desperate need of support and community. With your help, they can find belonging.
