Refugee Sanctuary Scotland

The Refugee Survival Trust is a small charity that provides grants and integrated suport services to asylum seekers and refugees living in Scotland. These grants and services alleviate poverty and destitution, or help refugees and asylum seekers to access education and employment, and to integrate.
Our work focuses on four key areas:

1. Destitution

Our integrated Destitute Asylum Seeker Service and our Destitution Grants help destitute asylum seekers and refugees when they have nowhere else to turn

2. Integration

Our Access to Education and Employment grants help people to overcome hurdles to joining courses or starting work, whilst our befriending programme offers the opportunity to get to know people with a different background.

3. Awareness raising

We help to raise awareness about the challenges faced by those in the UK asylum system

4. Research and policy

We use information and experience from our work to lobby for improved conditions for asylum seekers and refugees in Scotland.
