Awaken Love For Africa

We work in a rural, poverty stricken area in Kenya with orphans, widows and HIV/Aids victims.
We have been working closely with the 'Gideons Orphanage' since April 2009. We have seen this orphanage grow from 35 children, to now 170+ children living permanently on site.

We have just completed building a Secondary school which provides education to not only the orphans but the whole community. Awaken loves plans are to build workshops to provide skills for the community and orphans to get jobs. Also we seek to improve the medical problems in Kenya and would one day like to build a medical center. We are also involved in rescuing the street children. We have taken a few off of the street and put them back in school which has given them a purpose again. We have a heart for people to become self sufficient and eradicate poverty.
