New Creations supports the work of textile artist Jacqui Parkinson.
Her Christian faith underpins all her art. Threads through Revelation toured 13 cathedrals in Britain (2016-2018), and was seen by half a million people. It illustrated the visions of the book of Revelation, took 3 years to create and 11 million stitches. Threads through Creation is now touring 21 cathedrals and churches: 12 huge panels re-imagine the first pages of the bible.
Jacqui is currently working on Threads through the Cross, 18 scenes from Jesus' life - the middle part of an astonishing project: Threads through the Bible. 44 huge panels and 25 million stitches will tell the story of God's love from Genesis to Revelation.
Jacqui starts without guaranteed funds, trusting that the money will come through as it has for the previous exhibitions, Many costs are already covered, but Threads through the Bible requires substantial funding. Can you help make it ready for display and touring from January 2025?
