REUK equips young refugees to build positive futures by thriving in education. We do this by training and matching young refugees with volunteer mentors, giving advice and guidance for accessing and progressing in education, delivering 1:1 intensive wellbeing support to young refugees with acute mental health and wellbeing needs, and running leadership and advocacy courses which embolden and empower future refugee leaders. We also conduct research and training on everything refugee education.
REUK works from a Christian ethos, and was established by seed-funding from Community Church Harlesden. As an organisation, we believe that one of the practical outworkings of the Christian faith is to provide care, support and welcome to the displaced. Our Christian theology shapes our view of the individual as a holistic being, with both physical and spiritual needs. We learn from and journey with people of all faiths and none.
